7 wearable jewellery trends for the everyday fashionista

18th Jun 2022

I've been doing a lot of digging for you and I'm here to share are few trends that are hot right now. Not the 'wear this season and throw in your drawer next season' trends. I mean the wearable and transitional pieces that you will love to combine with your own personal style. These are trends that will have you looking great and oh-so effortlessly chic in your everyday styling. For sure you can pick and choose your look depending on your mood on the day. Women's perogative right? Lol.

So whether you are getting the feels for a simple minimal look or going all out with a bold statement there is always a versatile gorgeous piece of jewellery to inspire you. No matter the direction your fabulous eye for style leads you, it's always intriguing to see a snapshot of what's hot in the jewellery world. So let's kick it off with some inspo as I take you through a few of my favorite everyday wearable jewellery trends.

Look 1 - THE LINKED CHAIN LOOK

This look was flaunting like a peacock on all the runways! And by linked chain look I don't mean just in necklaces and bracelets. Chain links have been featuring in earrings and rings too.

For punk meets glam - go BIG! Then to go for a maximum impact statement try combining your necklace and bracelet chains with chunky padlocks. You may remember them as being popular in the 80's but this look is trending again so have some fun and try one out.

If the occasion calls for something more minimal, you will love the dainty and simple chains delicately combined with scattered balls or diamentes. Wear this style either in one elegant strand or for a more contemporary take on a classic you can try the layered look.

Look 2 - PEARLS

Have you ever thought you could only pull out your pearls for weddings or saved for when you're over 70? No way! I bet nobody ever suggested such a thing to Audrey Hepburn or Scarlet Johanssen. So Gorgeous

On the statement side you can see big sculptural shapes made up of clusters of pearls or one gigantic single yet non symmetrical shaped pearl. Those shapes are often found in the freshwater pearl range that tend not to grow so perfectly rounded.

Delicacy is also very vogue when it comes to pearls. A trend that we are seeing everywhere yet never really goes out of fashion is the simple elegance of a single pearl that stands alone, or a few small pearls combined in a row with a delicate chain.

Look 3 - gold Is back!

I remember in the 90s yellow gold jewellery was the majority but then the tables turned and all of a sudden everyone wanted to replace their jewellery with white gold or silver. And now? Yellow gold is back and has brought with it her stunning little sister - Rose gold. Oh ain't she making her mark on the fashion world? And so she should...have you seen her? Feminine, Elegant and she can be the bridge to bring our two worlds of yellow gold and silver together when you want to wear all three. (Photo)

Look 4 - Hoops, hoops and more hoops

Giant hoops in any shape or a small huggie style hoop for a minimal look. If it's a hoop then you're all good to go jam with the fashionistas of the world. This is a tried and true staple jewellery piece that can carry you from cute casual to total glamour. (Photo)

Look 5 - Natural semiprecious stones

Stones like moonstone, pink quartz and larimar are a great on-trend choice for a statement look. More people are thinking about sustainability and quality. Choosing a jewellery piece to last, over the fast fashion options can get expensive but these stones offer an affordable, beautiful and natural choice with the ultimate fashionable look. Best of all, each natural stone is unique - one of a kind, just like you!

Look 6 - Engagement rings

Even a pandemic can't put a hold on love so if you think its time to replace your engagement ring or you are choosing one for the first time, there are some engagement ring trends that are sure to stick around for the long haul . You'll be forever in love with a classic ring with a modern twist by selecting from timeless cuts like round, oval, cushion or pear set in delicate settings that really allow the diamond to pop. And the twist? Well that's where you come in. When the stone pops and the setting is delicate then the twist can be whatever you want it to be. To inspire you, here's one of my personal favourites (photo)

Look 7 -Split band rings

These style rings have been sky-rocketing in popularity and for good reason. When you want to go wide but still want to keep a dainty look this ring style is a great choice. Not only that, this ring design really has a way of letting the centre stone stand out for impact.
